The COVID-19 pandemic has created a lot of anxiety and uncertainty and people with an anxiety disorder will feel all the more helpless. Watching the news has become frightening, people have resorted to panic buying, life has become different where wearing masks and maintaining social distancing has become the norm.

This is a difficult time, but there are ways to manage coronavirus anxiety because the whole world is in this together: 

It is difficult to predict what is going to happen, for the safety of ourselves and others, it is essential to take precautions such as wash your hands regularly for twenty seconds with soap or sanitizer that contains 60% alcohol.  It is required to stay at home as much as possible except when necessary. If you have to go out wear a mask and practice social distancing. Get a good amount of sleep essential for a healthy immune system. Follow the safety measure recommended by doctors and scientists.

This is a difficult time concerning jobs, businesses, and planning a child’s homeschooling. There may also be a sick relative that needs to be quarantined. It is necessary to plan in whichever way you can. To get clarity about your thoughts and worries write down whatever is in your mind, and how you are going to plan. When at a point you get too worried take a break.

Think about all the possible solutions to your worries and write it down, it does not have to be perfect, just think about the best outcome.
